One Small Miracle at a Time

Emory Stubblefield: Founder of Emory Stubblefield Co, E & S Stubblefield and Stubblefield Salvage and Recycling, LLC (1913 - 2008)Lily, Lenora and I (Al) are amazed by the kindness and assistance of so many wonderful people who have been supporting us with suggestions and advice. We think of each day as another day full of miracles.

The first miracle was the last month or so we were able to spend with our father, Emory Stubblefield, before he passed away. Every day was special and we treasure each moment we had with him --this was the best time we shared together as a family with Dad in our entire lives! We laughed at his gentle humor, we sang hymns and his favorite mountain tunes while Lily played the piano. Lenora spoiled all of us with cook'n just like Mom with Cherry Delight, Carrot Cake, Lasagna and many other family dishes we'd not had since Mom's passing in 1994. Of course we all blame her for our gaining way too much weight.

s and customers came by to say 'hello' to him. It was wonderful to see Dad active and alert up to the day of his passing. He recognized each of you who help fill our home and his last days with cheer and warmth. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
