Make Money off Old Auto or Truck Starters

Car and Truck StartersCar and Truck StartersAre you constantly amazed at how more things are being recycled every day? I know I sure am. Items in my home or garage that I previously would have burned or thrown in the trash I’m now hearing “Recycle”. What’s amazing me is the wide variety of auto parts that are recyclable. I’ve always known that junkyards make a mint off their used car parts, but I never associated that with the fact that junk cars can be like money in the bank!

Old starters from your trucks or cars can easily be recycled into something useful and, hopefully, environmentally friendly. After all, the environment is the main reason why recycling is so important – that and saving energy, which goes back to the environment! Therefore, when you begin cleaning out your back yard, before you consider those old cars as total junk, let’s check out those starters! As you can see from the picture of an auto starter, many parts can be reused, if necessary.

Cash for Recycled Electric Motors

Scrap Electric Motors: Earn money collecting and selling old electric motors.Scrap Electric Motors: Earn money collecting and selling old electric motors. With the large emphasis on helping our environment as well as saving money, we’re hearing more and more about recycling every day. Whether it’s sorting our household waste into recyclables and “non-recyclables” or turning in all of our old appliances and electric motors in the garage, people are really getting into recycling.

What many people don’t realize is that even though we’re hearing so much about recycling today, the whole process of recycling has actually been around for many centuries. Dust and ash from furnaces was recycled years ago for use in brick laying. The world wars brought about recycling of almost anything that could be recycled strictly because of the shortage of so many things.

In the 1970s, people got more into recycling because of high energy costs. In fact, high energy costs, keeping our environment green and preserving our natural resources are the main reasons why recycling has become such a major part of our lives. However, another thing that makes recycling so popular is that you can earn money from your recycled goods. Why throw something in the trash or dumpster when you can make money be recycling it?

Scrap metal collectors and scrap metal processors are keeping a wary eye especially on the price of used copper, brass and aluminum.  Daily price variations swung upward yesterday by .10 cents per pound and then downward by .11 cents today.  Long gone are the days of setting monthly --even weekly, prices for ferrous and nonferrous metals.   . . . Tin, aluminum and zinc followed lower copper prices as cuatious investors bid lower on commodity futures and base metals lost some of their luster from earlier in the week.
